The Nintendo announced in press conference some new features for the DS:

- browser Opera in version DS (not integrated in firmware will be launched, but yes in a cartridge bought to the part). LINK

- Also in the plans it is a tuning accessory of digital TV, for the time being only foreseen for Japan.

- the game Super New Mario Bros. it will be launched in May in Japan.

- the game Tetris DS will be sold inside of the line of games of reduced price for the DS (or either, 30€ for here).

- it was announced plus a not-game of the Training series, more irrelevant e for ocidente of that never - of this time, one is about Calligraphy Training, a software of trainings of writing kanji.

- some details on the launching of games had been given as Super Robot Wars and Dynasty Warriors.

- the first images of Winning Eleven 9 for the DS had been shown. E goes to be online.

Thats awesome. I have been waiting for some kind of announcement for winning eleven DS for some time now.

I'm now even more anxious to get a DS Lite. I wonder how the web browser will work. Maybe a website outline on the bottom, where you can use the stylus to choose which area to zoom in and show on top.

I love how Nintendo is acknowlodging the fact that gamers want more than just a gaming system though.

For those you can get an iPod or a GP2X.

That's cool to see Nintendo invading Sony territory. I just hope they limit it to acceptable uses of the DS features (wifi and such). I prefer a fewer options well executed than lots of half-assed features.

I`ll only aim for a lite when the compatibility with the pass.me hack got confirmed ;)

Ops, that`s what I meant - that hack that makes the passcard unnecessary.

No, it didn't arrived yet. It may arrive anytime soon, me thinks.

the older pics of the ds lite looked like it had a hard candy shell,
almost like the color coating on the ceramic shells of the psp.
these look like dull plastic pics.
i hope the ds lite isn't put together with cheap materials.
if that's the case i may get the light blue one.
