I've seen a bunch of screenshots for this but not much talk about the gameplay, other that it being a 2D sidescroller.

I'll probably buy it, but I'm waiting for the reviews first.

I use to own the import and it is a very good game.

I have it pre-ordered and will be picking it up again. If you like the Super Mario Bros. games, I think you will like it. It is more like Super Mario Bros. 2 though than the others.

It is very colorful, controls great and the touch screen is actually put to good use. Peach has four special powers at the bottom that you can touch to make things happen. These powers come in handy during boss fights and to get past certain areas.

Next week is Super Monkey Ball and then the week after is Super Princess Peach.

Fuck...I guess they were empty display boxes.

I saw pics of the new Mana game for the DS and Xenosaga Episode I&II for the DS at Play-Asia.com and hopefully that they will get a US release. ;)

Looks a lot like Civ to me. Maybe it's a good thing...

All of the reviews I have seen have been very good so far. So...I think it (Age of Empires) is going to be a good game. I also heard there is a hot seat mode which is always nice.

Just a FYI Age of Empires DS scored a 8.2 from both IGN and GameSpot. I think I saw that it received over 8 scores from a couple other places as well. Should be another quality game.

I own the Super PRincess Peach Import and I have to say it is a really fun and addictive game. I like the extra powers that they gave to peach that you need to use to solve some of the little puzzles in the game. It's pretty fun.

Someone at Gamefaqs posted the new DS scores from GI.

Age of Empires 8.0/7.0
Pokemon Trozei 8.25
Super Princess Peach 8.75/9.25

I don't really go by reviews, however it is clear that Age of Empires is getting some good reviews and should be decent.

I have played both Pokemon Trozei and SPP and as stated they are both excellent. Pokemon Trozei is a very good puzzle game but I think they are releasing it too close to Tetris. They should have released it a couple of months back.

I'm actually kind of suprised that Age of Empires got good ratings. I'm glad they did it well though.

Managed to get a copy of the US version at work today. Game is very colorful and yet fun from what i've played so far. The look of the game is a mix between all sorts of Mario games. I definately see some of Yoshi's Island blended with Super Mario bros. 2 and the SNES remakes.

Peach uses her umbrella as her attacks. Y & B allow you to do this. You can also scoop up enemies by hitting the X Button and then hit down on the D-Pad to absorb them to fill up the bar. The bar allows you to do special abilities.

The touch pad special abilities are pretty kewl too. You have a special bar under your life bar, that you have to fill up, in order to make these abilities work. The orange heart makes u fly, the blue heart makes you cry(not sure what that does yet???), Red heart(angry) makes you go into a flame mode, and the green one i have yet to figure out. I'm not the type the reads the instructional manual yet as well. hehe

I think the game is very fun and will cater to any 2-D Mario fan. Don't let the main character and graphics fool you. It's another great game to add to the DS line-up.

Sounds interesting. If it's like Mario 2, I'll have to give it a try. I'll add it to my Q.

This is a must have. I've been playing the Japanese version for a while now, but I need the US one...

Haven't really played too many Kirby games. Sorry, couldn't tell you.

I played around some more today. Finally figured out what the Blue Vibe does...it makes things grow(beanstalks). The Green Vibe refills health. There are a lot more enemies than I thought from Yoshi's Island. Really nice to see some of these guys back.

I noticed the game is bright enough as it is with the original DS. Can't imagine what it will look like in level 4 brightness with the Lites. Guess those kiosk demos in Japan weren't lying about the really clear resolutions. Can't wait to get my Lite next week to try some other DS games along with Princess Peach.
