Hey folks. I've been having a Treasure games fix. I just got Bleach for the DS and I've been playing both Gunstar Heroes and been playing Guardian Heroes over my friends house on his imported Saturn.

One game I have been looking into was the Tiny Toon Adventures game that they made a few years back. I looked it up on GameSpot and the name is called "Tiny Toon Adventures Scary Dreams" of course they didn't have it in stock so I went to ebay.

There I saw the game with the same box art, but two names...

Ebay Auction "Scary Dreams"

and...

Ebay Auction "Bad Dreams"

Also, IGN has it listed that the game was UK only and never came out in the States. If that's so then could both of these be bootlegs?

I think Scary Dreams is the bootleg, because the ESRB label is not in the corner.

So if anybody knows which one is the real deal it would help me out a lot.

Scary Dreams is the real name. IGN probably doesn't think it came out in the US because it was released AGES after it came out in Europe...

And Bad Dream is the European version. My thoughts is that they are using some sort of "pre-release" artwork in that one auction, because it shouldn't have an ERSP rating on it ;)

If memory serves me correctly. The game did come out in the states but way later then the jpn and eur release.

The first auction is a real box and the second auction list "stock photo" which are quite often incorrect (since they are never updated to the actual box photo after release).

--edit--
Here is proof from gamestop of a usa release & the first name being Scarry Dreams.

Cool, I think I'll pick one of the cheeper ones up.

(I'm going to get killed on here for saying it, but here I go anyways,)

My friend sent me the ROM of it and I tried it out. Pretty much the game plays like a beat-em up and a fighter. Buster has a boxing glove and he can do some punch combos and he's got two super moves. One is a Jackhammer the makes everything on the screen shake and take damage the other is a shopping cart that he rams people with.

You can also select helper characters. Plucky Duck can drop Acme Anvils on people and Sneezer can either freeze or shove people to the other side of the screen.

The biggest problem with the game is the fact that you can't block at all in the game. You'd think that if Buster was boxing he'd learn to block a punch. As Treasure game the screen will be littered with characters on the screen and it's hard as hell not being able to block an attack.

Sitll for how cheep their selling them on EBay I'll still pick it up for another game to play on my DS.

Thanks for all your help!

I think it only came out in the US last November, so I don't think it's registered on the radar of many places yet.

I can't believe I missed this. It must have had a pretty low produciton run because I don't remember seeing it in stores. Then again, I wasn't really looking.

Wow thanks for the info. I thought I had my Treasure radar on this whole time with Bleach DS, but I must have missed it. I'll be picking this up on old ebay.

I'm the one who sort of "discovered" it...Treasure didn't even know that it had been released in the US. Apparently, Conspiracy released it without telling anyone, and even Gamestop doesn't have it listed.

Wouldn't treasure have recieved some sort of compensation for it. Are they in the business of recieving random money without bothering who it came from? It seems pretty odd that a company that made the game wouldn't know about it's release even if it is in a foreign territory.

multi player???

There are many contradictory sites over whether or not this game is 2 player or not. A few sites list it as 1-4 players while one site lists it as a 1 player game and then later on says 2 player with a link cable. Anyway the game is good not great and short. The difficulty levels add to the replay value of the game and it is well worth 20 bucks for the great but brief beat m up action. I got the rom to try and simply becuase I am impatient with waiting to find a copy of the game. regardless I am defenitely picking up a copy asap. I hate roms, they are never correct to the real thing, emulation is always off, controls are always off but roms are handy to use as a try out for certain games before purchasing them. I would always prefer to rent a game to try it out before buying but seeing as how little of a selection videostores have now for videogames.....

That's a good point. Maybe Treasure just sold them the rights to the game for a set amount, and let them keep whatever they actually made off the game.
