Just wondering how many members here own a cab and pcbs as their only gaming experience?

Meaning no superguns ,old or new console gaming, online gaming mame romz
even those 500 in one pcbs you can buy now etc

Ive never owned a playstation played any computer or download roms ,don't know nothing about em nor am i interested with anything that does not involve arcade only set ups ,my personal taste has always remained the same since about 1987 when arcades were the ultimate gaming experience ,i guess thats a very limited scope but theres something about playing on a playstation or supergun staring at a normal tv twidling my thumbs somehow does not feel genuine.
On the other hand i guess ive missed out on a lot of great games & the gameplay
offered by home gaming during all these years......bahh limited minds :oh_no:

here's a pic of my 38 inch big bad ass cab which was originally posted a while back thanks to foreversublime and since re posted by me recently .Like i said recently on another thread,if it wasn't for the screen size of it,i probably wouldn't have half of the pcbs i got .I need to see big characters :D arcade cabs only :buttrock:

I have other systems but I pretty much only game on arcade. Resident Evil 4 was the last console game I played (takes a great one to get me away from my cabs!)

noble...I guess. I don't envy you though. As there have been some GOLDEN console experiences over the last 20+ years. You've missed a LOT.

I've got 3 cabs and a bajillion* consoles, and I'm okay with that.

I got 1 cab, but I think I use this more than any of my 4 consoles (PS2, GC, Xbox & DC) just feels so right sat at a pannel with 2 sticks next to each other.

I used to have console systems. Then I had kids and now they have console systems..
Have a hand full of cabs though. Really I've lost interest in the console games anymore.

im with ya there because it almost feels like cheating if i picked up a console or computer game instead of a sturdy control panel with with a proper crt monitor .

Its all about the genuine article
Sure ,with a lot of console games i feel ive maybe missed out over the years ,but all and all im satisfied with that decision as a few times i went to friends places etc and its not the same.Hehe maybe im just a one way mind at times :loco:

Maybe im just old skool  nothing wrong with that right :lolz:

im slowly moving over to arcade only.. saturn and DC collections have both gone in favour of the arcade.

i dont think ill ever sell my SNES and PSX collections tho, too many memories and too many damn fine games that are console-only. :)

I've got a couple of cabs (Aero Citys). One for vertical gaming and one for horizontal. I've also got most consoles as there is just FAR too much excellent games and genre's out there to miss.
I play on my cabs a lot, but there is sometimes, I feel the gameplay can be too limiting for me. For example i'm quite partial to stratagy games and rpg's.
Anyway arcade gaming probably takes up 60% of my total gaming time.

Right now, I have 14 cabs, an NES, and a ps1/2 (though the only ps2 game I have is gran turismo, and I havn't played it for over 2 years). The only real gaming I do is on cabs or my computer (way more cabs than computer... especially when I have work/school). The only real reason I even use my computer for games is that yoy can have more controls, and higher resolutions for games like elder scrolls, and C&C generals... you need too much time to play most of these games though, so I pretty much stick to my cabs nowadays.

Why limit yourself? Isn't it the goal in life to make more opportunities for yourself? :D

I use my computer more than my cab but I play my cab more than my consoles.
Most of my money has been directed straight into giving me some awesome arcade action and most likely will be for a while to come.

Hey at least you'll have something a lot of people will never have - WORTH ITTTTTTTT :D

Im sure that some people you know will still give you the WOW factor as they walk in to your place and see your cab :multi_co:

Aesthetically lets face it ,something like the ps2 looks rather well - insignificant ? :kekeke:

It was definitely worth the money and the day off school to pickup the cab :D
Obviously owning a cab isn't the norm in a normal household so just about anyone goes "wow" lol.

I play my cabs nearly every day for at least an hour, but I simply cannot ignore the entire FPS genre. TBH, I more willingly spend money on my computer than on my cabs. But that may change if/when I spot the arcade version of Half-Life 2 floating around... (what's the deal with that? Haven't seen it or heard any news)
