I'm in the market for another PSP. Got rid of mine last summer because there wasn't enough software I was into.

Now there're a bunch of titles I'd like to pick up, so I'm looking to snag a new PSP.

I've heard that the Ceramic White PSP is a better, newer build of the system, with better buttons, screen, etc.

Is this true?

Any reason to buy an older PSP? I don't much care about region, since I don't really have any interest in UMDs, so JPN or US doesn't matter to me.

BTW, if anyone's selling a PSP, I'm in the market for one!

the only reason to spend the money on an older model would be for the roms. If you have no interest in playing the emu games then might as well get any model which is fully functional.

G,any US version should do just fine, since Sony fixed the "sticky button" issue that plagued the J-launch models.

The J-ceramic white one is bad ass, though.

I guess no 1 will care, but the Japanese 1's are in fact made in Japan, where the US 1's are made in China, both black & white value packs cost the same price in Japan.

I've heard that the white Japanese PSPs have a different screen than the US models - any truth to this?

Also, for anyone who's got a white PSP, is the finish glossy like the original black one or is it more matte?

Only the first couple of batches of psps have the sharp screen. Actually the one I have has the sharp screen. PSP K-1000, then they switched as they got a better deal from samsung.
