I was thinking refuge camp.

Is that definitely the system? Looks OK but I'd like better pics of the screens and compared to a current DS model.

Bad things:

the pics don't give an idea of the size of the unit;

the system looks too thick - but it can be cause by the factor above.

A coin at the side would be nice.

Thank goodness the buttons not only appear larger, but are rounded, smooth plastic pieces instead of "caps" on top of tact switches.

And I'm very glad it is as thick as it is... all the more material to hold onto. Hopefully it will meld well with large North American and Northern European hands.

I'll buy it for sure.

And for the record, the dude at the Gamestop I visited last nite never heard about the redesign. No surprise I guess.

No gamestores know of it in my area either... lol... but if it was a new button added to the PSP, they'd be on it like a bum on a bologna sandwich...

Anyway... I really like the unit in this new form...

I always hated the design of the current model...

Not to me, since I don't know the original DS dimensions, or have one (yet) to measure.

And yes, I'm a lazy dork for not search for it on google or something.

THey all look sexy as shit. I think the heat just thickened up in psp territory.

However nintendo has copied the psp for once with the shiny new surface.

Its a plus though for sure.

God, that looks beautiful. Wish I could of had more time with it in my last project.

Two more weeks till I experience what Dawn of Sorrow looks like on Level 4 Brightness. Can't wait. Makes me think twice about my PSP. Aaaaahhhhh...whatever.

When that shiny surface was only on the PSP, everyone cried like diaper wearin' infants about it. I am going to have to go to the store and check out a demo unit. These new DS's look really nice.

I can tell u that the inside does not have a shiny surface like the outside shell(personal experience). Still looks nice, though.

well thats what i wanted anyway...

that way, it won't attract fingerprints like the psp. if only they release black version on launch day...

Definately won't have the fingerprint problem like the PSP. I'm waiting for Black on launch day myself. Probably won't happen for the Japanese release. Here's hoping the US launch has them when that time comes.

Hey Rumel let me know how much the DS Lite cost on launch day because I want to get a black DS Lite handheld. To bad that Nintendo didn't think about putting a mini analog stick and a mini C-stick for the DS Lite. When I get the new DS Lite I might sell off my regular DS or keep it as a backup handheld. Should I get a Japan or US DS Lite handheld?. :) :cool:

Boog, i'm getting my import Lite on the 4th of next month for $169.00(plus tax). I believe the official launch day of the Jp model is the 2nd. The US launch is unconfirmed but I heard Spring sometime.

Yeah, it would have been nice if they had added an analog stick this time around. I still think the stylus mimics this effect in some ways. It works especially well with MP:Hunters. It's the closest feeling you'll have to a mouse and keyboard for a "portable" FPS.

I think you should import the Lite and keep your regular DS. The current DS is not that bad. Especially for those who like the thicker feel. Your just not going to see all the colors you can with the new brightness of the Lite. Only thing that is still bothering me is the L & R triggers for the Lite. I really wish they had risen them a bit.
