Will a game that requires a higher firmware require you to upgrade the firmware?

As far as I know, the game won't play unless you have the appropriate firmware.KagerouSama said:

i just got the game f**king great. the umd come with fw 2.5 but i just updated my 1.5 to 2.00 then use pspsetx to make it look like a 2.6 yay.... only bad think is u can play the game but there no background music but i dont really care cause i still want to play teh romz lol so ill stay on 2.00 as long as a can(grrr i really want MHX but w.e i play the snes ver)

I got it earlier today as I preordered it yesterday. First one out the box too. Fucking ace only did a quick survival though. Has a lot of modes so I see myself playing this for a while.

i got my pre-ordered one today as well...the import thumb nub was definetly worth the preorder from capcom.com! the game itself of course kicks ass.
