Is there anyone in the UK who can consolize my 4 slot for me? Unfortunatly the mrs says the cab has to go and I really don't want to sell the 4 slot.

How much is it likely to cost me?

You're selling your cab?! How much dude?!

I thought you have plenty of electronics skills to consolise an mvs? You seem to know more than me and I managed to consolise my 2-slot.

Btw that sucks about the Mrs making you get rid of your cab. Some women just don't understand :oh_no:

Edit: oh yeah cost! All you need is a few sockets and wires and buttons and cans of paint if you're doing it yourself. I'd say about 20 quid for that and maybe another 20 if you need a new power supply for it.

yeah, I can do it, I just haven't done one before and want to know the best way to go about it.

What's the best PSU to use?

Also it's not really the Mrs making me get rid, I really need the dollar and the space.

Maybe one day when I get a bigger house, I'll have a selection of cabs!

Sorry to hear you're getting rid of your cab. :( I wouldn't worry too much though. You'll love a consolized MVS just as much probably. Bump for great justice!

I used the SC200 power supply from Jameco and it does a great job. I don't know if there's any equivalent in the UK but I couldn't find one.

As for wiring it up, it's just a case of wiring the appropriate Jamma pins to video, power and sound sockets, but where you put them on the shell is just down to personal preference. The only other thing you really need is a test switch so you can enter test mode. I'm sure someone with your skills can figure it out.

As for the shell, I'd recommend paying to get it powder coated. I did mine myself with spraypaint and it's got a few chips on it already. Just depends how much you're willing to spend on it really.

Maplins sell one that is better than the SC200, a bit more expensive though.
