Does a PGM motherboard work with an Attenuation Circuit?

I've heard varying reports.... The conclusion that I've reached is that it will work as long as you DO NOT have a 1K resistor between the Line out and Ground...

Can anyone confirm this?

Personally, I do not understand why you need the 1K-Lineout to Ground Resistor on there in the first place.

The 1k resistor is not the problem. I have started doing an attenuation switch on the superguns I make where I have the 1k resistor in place all the time at the RCA mount itself and have a DPDT switch to throw the 10 k resistors.

Interestingly the PGM audio works fine either way with this setup in place. Meaning you can still get audio with the attenuation on, although it may only work if the switch if off on startup then flipped on.

Thanks D... Now I know what the Mystery Audio Switch on the Back of Jon's SG was......

So lemme get this straight....

1. You wire a toggle switch between the Jamma edge and the 10 K resistor.
1. You leave the switch open until after the PGM MB starts up.
2. Then after it starts up, you throw the switch to connect it to the audio output.
3. You only use a DPDT for stereo circuits.

Lemme know if this is right.
