vertical shmups

hi all,

i'm buying a supergun this week with some pcbs, and hoping to move up to a cabinet later in the year. what would you recommend for dedicated vertical shmups? i'm liking the look of the new astro city, but thought i's ask around for opinions. and if there's one you favour, why so? is there a big difference between screen clarity, etc...?

egret 2 is a great cab thats starting to become quite cheap (there is a reason its on every pic from japanese arcades)

but f you can afford it ofcourse the egret 3 outdoes it in every possible way...

No complaints here. Egret 2 is easier to rotate but Sega build quality can't be beat.

I think the Astro should be the cab of choice if it's going to be a dedicated cab.

Only have to rotate it once, if at all.

I belive superpang's cab is an Astro City2, not the New Astro.

That thing had to cost at least $500. I paid $400 for my New Astro City and it's in top shape, great cab!

The current UK market value for an Astro is somewhere between £450-700 depending on condition.
