Hi guys,

I recently joined saying I'd bought my first cab, which is now a working neo 1 slot. I bid on another cab on Ebay not expecting to win it but I did, see Here

The price £31 and a couple of hour drive. The cab looks in OK condition and it will be becoming either a multi slot Neo or I might try a Hyper 64 unsure as yet.

As you may have read in the article the thing doesn't work. I am reasonably clued up with computers and electronics but I am new to the cab scene. The cab will only produce a blue screen, I guess the infamous BS of death! Have I made a big boob or do you reckon its a bargain?? And if anyone can point me in the direction of possible problems I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for anyones views on the potential problem.

If you're putting a Neo in it anyway, I'd say as long as the screen itself works you're fine.

Thanks guys,

Cyberflexx I like that motto :)

The guy I am getting it from does seem to have a few machines in the background, you can see from the photo. Which suggests to me he knows what he is doing, but maybe not.

He says that multiple games have been tried but it gives nothing but a blue screen. Is this likely to be a problem with the monitor? If it shows a blue screen does this not mean the monitor works but something else is wrong? Or do knackered monitors often do this? I though a knackered monitor would be plain dead and not display at all. I don't suppose there can be much wrong with a cab other than monitor and power supply/wiring.

Something might be screwed up with the dials, and there's always the slim chance that the green and red lines to it are cut and the blue is shorted.
