LM1881 circut question

On my last cab I didn't have to split the sync signal out of the composite on the scart cable, but on my new cab it just isn't working. I am not able to read electrical diagrams at all, so I don't know what the heck all these triangles and funny marks are on this diagram, could someone please explain what each part of this is or point me to a website that does?

Just reference the diagram in DC2Jamma How-To instead since it is setup so even a layman can understand it. The diagram link is labeled. "If you'd like more details on how to set the circuit out on a bit of stripboard, click here." The website link is http://www.mameworld.net/pc2jamma/arc_dc4.html.
