after seeing pics of other member's cab, i'm starting to dig it.

the thing is i've already had a supergun + 27" no flat crt tv setup to try emulate the best arcade setup as possible, but it will never give me that 'true' arcade experience.

i'll use my cab mostly for neo, awave and in the future, cps3.

so here goes.

1. which cab suits above needs best? astros? candy cab? or any other? i love jap sitdown cabs btw.

2. is it easy to switch board inside the cab? is it just like the 'gun, just plugging the jamma harness?

3. price. how much do they cost normally? and since i don't have a truck for pickup or anything, how much does it cost to ship them?

thanks in advance.

I'm not the resident expert, but I have a Japanese Neo Candy 29 and a 4 slot American cab.

When I had my get together, we had no problems swiching between my mv-1c and the atomiswave.

You should be able to get a candy29 between 400 and 600 dollars + shipping I imagine.

Good luck

a question about the monitor..

you know how in normal tv's neo games usually is not centered, it get cuts in the left, right, etc.

now in arcade monitor, does it automatically get centered, or can it be adjusted?

Both my American cab and my Japanese cabs allow for adjustments up down/left right. The candy has a degause button too.

exactly the answer i'm looking for, thanks!!

i just hate how image on tv got so messed up. it's mostly based on luck when you bought the tv. if you're lucky you get a good one with good tube so image is perfect. what i just bought is pretty bad... on the left side of the screen the horizontal line is messed up...:(

Atomiswave doesn't look all that on the Astros though, at least on mine.
Low res monitors...

Then again doesn't it depend on what game's you're playing?
Games with high res sprites like Guilty Gear look like crap on low res but games with low res sprites like NGBC and KOF look better on low res, right?

Ray, you can put any JAMMA arcade hardware in a New Astro City.

AW looks great on a lot of low res monitors but I found I got the same result on my Astro's Nanao 29. It's the only system I've found that needs RGB completely altering on there. AW is just not suited to the Astro. CPS2 & 3 however are right at home.
