Water, make sure any batteries are removed before you clean them.
Quickly dry with a hair dryer and it's as good as new.

I did this on one of my dirty MVS carts are it fixed the gfx problems it had.

Water and PCB just sounds wrong. I don’t know it probably works but I just can’t get over that idea. Would Rubbing Alcohol a toothbrush and q-tips be another idea for some one that wants be more careful.

HAHA Did not realize he was banned. Yeah... I have a cart I got from Yaton and the insides where pretty nasty. Looks like some one soaked the PCB in some soda. Its got that kind of grime that only comes from soda. :-p

Nah, water does work as long as you throughly dry it after, the backs of PCBs can be cleaned like this at least, compressed air is your friend as well.

i think they suggested water because everyone hated the person posting. for the edge connectors you could use a pencil erasure. i've used them on plenty of my jamma boards and it worked great

No, water is a good way of cleaning PCB's.

I have cleaned board before with a hose and never had any probs, as everyone else says, you just have to make sure that you dry it well.

I have heard that places like mak wash their board using an ultrasonic bath, sorta like the ones that jewellers use to clean rings.
