Engrish? Or are they giving up on the franchise?

RGP said:Joe, what was that Sega sales guy saying at the show about AW games in general?

I realize that, which is why I asked. It does say "FINAL MISSION! READY?" in big letters across the ad, which to me either meansAmano Jacu said:All Metal Slug games have a "final mission" stage and that doesn't mean the franchise dies. That "final" can refer to the last part of that game, or just that this is the "latest" game. I don't see how you can deduct the end of the franchise just from that.
First noticed that with the Asian release of NGBC. No Sammy logos anywhere, no AW badge on the mobo. I thought it might be a sign they were killing it but then HNK and MS6 were confirmed. I'm sure it's just brand structuring. Makes sense to brand all games SEGA and keep the Sammy brand Pachinko related etc.RGP said:On my official MS6 flyer it refers to the AW as Sega hardware, looks like the brand Sammy has been completed dropped now
SuperPang said:They never chased it like Taito did so it's their own fault. Wouldn't surprise me if SNKP stuck with the hardware rather than moving to Naomi. They certainly don't need anything more powerful and there are plenty of AW fighter cabs around Japan.
Gummy Bear said:Nope.
Apparently SNKP are moving to teh consolez.
