I just picked up another DS (blue) and CV DoS and have some questions regarding homebrew.
I had a Silver model last summer and used the WiFime stuff to connect it to my PC so I could transfer over game demos, has this changed with the more recent released DS models? I guess the newer ones have an updated firmware.
Speaking of which, what does modifying the firmware on the DS units actually accomplish? Can you not use a Passme type device and boot up homebrew code? I don't really have much interest in booting commercial game roms (well, maybe), but I am very interesting in some of the folks homebrew apps and gamesthat are popping up.
I was reading over at gbadev.org about the current DS homebrew scene, but I am just confused about the details.
Anyways, I know stuff has changed since then and I need to be brought up to speed. I just bought the DS about 30 minutes ago and sitting here at work twiddling my thumbs till my shift is over sucks.
