NYC Chinatown Fair Meet in February

I am available at NYC for the following dates:

Well a whole bunch of free weekends have become available to me so I want to check back with all of the Tri-state crew and see who's up for shooting the breeze with some eats and videogame shopping, as well as enjoy some healthy competition down at the Chinatown Fair. I'm definitely gonna be down in Chinatown this Saturday, 4 February 2006 just letting you all know ahead of time because I want to check out the J&L sale just to keep tabs on the inventory --- and if the price is right maybe pick up some titles.

Pick the times you guys want to hang at Chinatown. Multiple choice options available so vote as many or as few as you like.

Incidentally, TonK says he might come to NYC in April or May, so vote for that option if you want to come hang with TonK.

I'd like to make the trip from the Philly area up there because I've heard a lot of good things about Chinatown fair. When you guys decide on a date I'll look into making the trip.

It's like a 1.5 to 2 hour drive.....

I can talk a good game but human competition is a whole different thing. Don't feel like you need to prove something, because I didn't prove anything either, it's just a bunch of mates getting together and having a good time.

I'll coordinate at the end of tomorrow and send everyone PMs. I no longer have a cell phone so we should meet up at roughly said time. If wasabi doesn't mind coordinating those who can't make it at a certain time, we usually hang around there for a good while, sometimes go out for eats, and the stragglers can ring in with wasabi.

I think I can even take the train down to Philadelphia... I don't like to do city driving much, leaving the car behind means less headache for me.

Usually, the Philly area meets are on saturdays and in the Burbs (right off of 95).... Plenty of parking...

The KOFXI deal is pretty much an exception to the rule.....

Keep an eye out for other Philly threads.

I've been to 3 Philly area meets now (Vanilla Thunder[NJ]), Jhendrix[NJ] and Ralphakick......

They have all been like 10-15 members deep and comprised of people from NY, VA, OH, MD and Delaware.

Ahh, those are the meets you were talking about... yeah, it had just been my terrible luck in the past that family was in town, engagements in NYC or was giving blood. Such coinky-dinks. I'll keep my eye out for any future Philly meets.

i'm gonna keep those 2 months open on my calender.

also, if anyone else is interested theres a place in my neighborhood called barcade. they've got tons of old school arcade games and like 30 different kinds of beer on tap. it's a pretty fun time for arcade after hours. they've got pool too for those who are too burnt out on video games for the day. i can be the tour guide.

i may or may not be able to make it on saturday. i drove my car into a tree today so i've got to catch a ride with my friend to nyc and i don't know when he's leaving...

But I will be making 2 random trips up to check out the loft and botique we are building for a customer... (single day - arrive at 9:15 am, leave at 7:40 pm )

OK, it looks like as the participants of our Neo meet for Saturday, 4 February 2006 currently stands at 4 people, but the more the merrier, I know some people are getting in from Long Island 'n stuff, so what say we make the meetup time tentatively at 1 p.m.? And then we can still get some light snack in between.

If you don't know where Chinatown Fair is, I believe it's on Mulberry/Mott... it's kind of confusing, the street ends midway and changes name, but it's hard to miss, and it's near the end of the street that opens up to the main roads of Chinatown again.

beatifik, bokmeow, wasabi voted in the poll, although wasabi is a 'might show up' at the moment. ORPHEUS is available too though he hasn't voted in the poll, and I know you have wasabi's number so you can keep in touch.

my girlfriend wants to see me when i get back, but she likes ctf, so maybe i can convince her to come along...

i'm not making any promises though. if anyone wants my cell# i pmed it to bokmeow and he can give it to you.

3pm may be better for me though. It's hard to say.
I am going out drinking w/ friends now. I have to wake up tommorrow & get some shit done before i go in. I may be able to take an 11am train & meet you guys @ 1 but depending on what i get done in the morning I may have to take a 1pm train & meet you guys @ 3.
Regardless I don't really want to be later than 3pm.
I hope we get to hit up a place w/ quality eats & some good beer. That is definitely a non negotaible.
