Hi all,
Consolizing my first 2-slot and having made a couple of supergun's in the past didn't think I'd have many probs, oh how wrong I am!
After some great and useful advice from KJP and GummiBear I'm still having real probs with the VIDEO side of things. I know I'm probably infinately stupid, but just cannot get a picture.
I live in the UK and have wired my previous Superguns with a Female Scart connector so I could use a SCART/RGB cable for the TV, this has been no probs, however....
For the Consolized 2-Slot I wanted to use a 9-pin-D-Connector and I have hooked up the following.
On the console MVS i have used a female 9-pin D-Connector and wired from the MVS board as follows (by pin):
1.) Red
2.) Green
3.) Blue
4.) Sync
5.) Video GND
6.) Audio L
7.) Audio GND
8.) Audio R
9.) +5v
Then I took a SCART RGB lead chopped the end off with the intention of wiring it up to a 9-pin male D-Connector.
I have connected:
SCART RGB RED (pin15) to Red on 9-pin - 1.)
SCART RGB Green (pin 11) to Green on 9-pin -2.)
SCART RGB Blue (pin 7) to Blue on 9-pin -3.)
SCART RGB Video Comp. In (pin 20) to Sync on 9-pin - 4.)
SCART RGB Blanking Signal (pin 16)to +5V via 100 Ohm resistor on 9-pin - 9.)
SCART RGB Video Comp. Ground (pin 17) to Ground on 9-pin. - 5.)
All i got was all the colours moving in a garbled mess, ok could be the Video Comp In I thought, So I rewired replacing Video Comp. In with the Out from the RGB Scart just to check still no luck!?
I thought I would then try to wire up a Female SCART socket from the MVS board like the superguns I did, and to my suprise no luck at all??? On the Female SCART I even wired in all Colour Grounds etc. to make sure, but to no avail.
I have Power and a dodgy moving, garbled picture. Ive tested the board on one of my superguns and all works fine.
Can anyone give me a step by step guide to what I should do, Or where I'm going wrong?? This is probably really simple, but I'm clearly stupid!
I've trawled these boards and cannot seem to find an answer.
Many Thanks in advance, and apologies for such a long post and my inability to wire video!
Cheers.
