Does anyone on here actually like Candy's to have the monitor shield?

This is the glass/plastic that you see like on the neo 29 for example.

I absolutely hate it because it makes the screen darker, when I like vibrancy. It also attracts all kinds of reflective light from elsewhere.

A definate no no in my opinion, but I see alot of you are choosing cabs that have this, so I guess your all unaffected by its side effects.

Just a YAY or NAY is ok, you can be more descriptive if you want obviously.

I actually like it, because for mine... I leave it at my parent's house and they have friends who have little kids. And you know little kids. Thank god that protective glass is there!

I also like the glass covered ones it keeps the dust off the monitor itself, and since I have my cabs under my bed, I don't get any glare, and they are always in shadow, so they look bright always.

MVS big reds have smoked/tinted glass infront of the CRT. It's not a big deal as long as you play in low light. If it bugs you, you could adjust your monitor....just don't crank it up all the way.

I replaced the glass in my candy cab. So glad I did. It's somewhat easy to do (not a fraction as easy as US machines, but no biggie) and it does make it look amazing. I noticed how great it was when it was on, and the hood was up. So, one day, I ordered glass to fit it perfectly and never looked back. If you have a great monitor like I did, it's a must.

I have 2 kids and a baby...wouldn't think of not having glass in front of the monitor for even a minute.
