So about 2 weeks ago I was in a thrift store and found a massystems supernove with 2 sticks and 3 games for $100. Crazy and excellent find I know. So I've always wanted to get a supergun and was going to get one with my tax return $, but I found this and I couldn't pass up this deal.

The games that I got with it were:

WWF Superstars
WWF Wrestlefest
Street Fighter II: Championship Ed

I also have:

X-men

So I guess my questions are:

1. What are the best Jamma games to play on this? What are some good games I should get?
2. What else can I play on this cab? PCB stuff? I would need adapters though right?
3. I can get a 1,2,4 slot right? How would the 4th button work though?
4. Whats the best/cheapest place to buy games online?
5. Can I go even further? CPS Stuff? Naomi? Atomiswave? If so what do i need to get inorder to do this stuff?
6. Anything else?

Thanks again :)

supegun questions

So I guess my questions are:

1. What are the best Jamma games to play on this? What are some good games I should get?

You should look into getting some good shooters personally, maybe Un Squadron by capcom or on the expensive side Raiden Fighters Jet.

2. What else can I play on this cab? PCB stuff? I would need adapters though right?

You would only need adapters for some old konami and other non jamma stuff, pre 85-86 as a rule.

3. I can get a 1,2,4 slot right? How would the 4th button work though?

If you're talking about a four-slot neo-geo, as I would hope, then yes, you can get 1,2,4, and even 6 slots homie. The fourth button would just be wired to the jamma loom in one of 2 extra button places, just make sure the jamma harness/loom you buy is fully wired on all slots. neo-geo uses stereo output as a rule, and is also more power hungry as slots increase.

4. Whats the best/cheapest place to buy games online?

HERE! j/k. Dunno, ask aroud some more :(

5. Can I go even further? CPS Stuff? Naomi? Atomiswave? If so what do i need to

Answered above, same deal basically. Just get the system and it's plug and play with the jamma loom an dpossibly some aux/kick-harness, stereo, etc issues.

get inorder to do this stuff?

Huh?

6. Anything else?

Keep your chin up and pray that MAS doesn't deteriorate.

Peace

my GOD! How is that possible....you must have seriously good karma or something. jeeeeez. Congrats.

I had one for a while before I got my cabs....Made a AUX harness for SFA3 out of a floppy cable. Other than that, all games were plug and play just fine.

Pit Fighter won't work on it though....not that anyone cares.

I know, I was amazed when he had it. Who the hell knows how he got it or who would of sold it to him. Then when I asked the price he said $100 with the games and my eyes just lit up. I asked him if it was 100% functional and he said the bottom 3 buttons on the controllers wouldn't work. Obv because the kick harness wasn't plugged in. So maybe that was another reason he let it go for so low.

Well since you had it, what about PCB games that arn't jamma?

Do i have to get an adapter for each one?

The jamma harness is the one that came with it, so I assume when I plug it in to a MVS that all the buttons will work? I read somewhere on here when I was doing a search that the 4th button is the lower right kick button. True?

Any info you guys could give me would be 100% helpful as I have NO idea what im doing. Right now im just playing SF because I dont want to buy something I can't play.

Vertical games ?REQUIRE? a vertical moniter? There is no way to switch it? What can I do to get around this?

Could I use This on it? I just plug it in and then it will work? Then I would just need the software? But then why does certain games on that website come with a motherboard?

Sorry for all the questions. I really am a newbie to this.

The stick I have has 6, would it just default to something? Do I need to wire a harnesses? There is a kick harness already wired on.

So confused :help:
