I think we already discussed about MS3 carts like that, if I remember well that daughterboard is like the NGPC and the carts are original. Take this with a grain of salt as I can't remember the details, somebody will enlighten us soon.

Whats the weird daughter PCB for? I've got some of the later MVS carts and they all have chips, no daughters.

SNK made MS3 in 2 versions, with and without the daughter board.

Both are legit

My friend Jest bought a Metal Slug 3 with a transp cart and it looks like this, it was a boot with Altera :

On this screen the progtop 's legit (PROGLBA) which has 4 V and PG1 & PG2 stamped revision (but the screen 's too small to see this detail).
Chris1, if you 've the same, could you confirme 256-PG1 & 256-PG2 stamped ?

I'll scan my boards now....My cart is legit....Looks nothing like the big ole board pic msu89dawgs is posting..


Just make sure you are getting what's pictured in the auction...

The legit MVS I was talking about was this revision (4 V next to PG1 and PG2) :
