I need a Naomi

I'm looking to plunk the cash and get a Naomi setup. I understand that it's not as simple as buying a jamma board, so I'd appreciate any help or advice I can get. I want to get a full setup that will allow GD-rom discs as well. Is there a big difference a Naomi 1 and a Naomi 2? I have Japanese candy cabs, will I have to do extra wiring to play this system? Also, is the system universal or region locked, and is there a certain bios I should look for? Thanks guys.

It's your lucky day, www.excellentcom.net sell both Naomi 1 and Naomi 2 boards and sets aswell as GD-ROMs and Cartridges.
The prices aren't too bad either.

Just email them before you buy anything though, their prices change all the time.

I was recently informed that the NAOMI 2 is just able to play one game that the NAOMI 1 isn't. Although it has twice the specs as a NAOMI 1, all of the games play, look, and sound identical.....except for the one title that NAOMI 1 can't support.

There's more than one. Another story is that the only one really worth the hassle and doesn't need special controls is VF4 and its variants.

I have Japanese candy cabs. If I have all the components, do you guys think it will essentially be plug n' play or will I have to rewire my cab? :help:

is you're a jamma ready cab??...if you can play cps2 game's on it then you're good to go.....

also i got a naomi2 gdrom set up for sale :cool:
