Not sure where A1 got the goods, but Matsu has them for $1500 each.
Steep but nice. I took the plunge a few months ago. Whitey did it twice
Really nice shape stuff. The AW I got had just 460 plays on the counter.

Matsu also has the egretIII control panels to make them 2p.

Thanks Droid, when I've got the space I'll give Matsu another chance. You read about my Windy experiance but that really wasn't his fault.

Do ATW cabs not come with a 2 player CP that matches the cab? I'm just wondering why you'd have to use an egretIII panel with it.

That sucked about the Windy, but I think you'd be pleased with the condition of his AW cabs. The one I got was practically brand new. The counter read 460 plays when I got it...Not a scratch on it. Some of the ones he has have minor scratches on the side paint like the one pictured in the link below. Typical condition I'd say. Monitors should be perfect. Be sure to ask for pics when the time comes to be sure.

Matsu's AW cabs are the 1p variety. I don't think anyone offers AW cabs with stock AW 2p control panels as yet. Its been a several months since I got the AW and I grew paranoid whether a 2p AW control panel could ever be found. Whitey says they do exist as he's seen pix of them. I got the 2p Egret III cp as insurance so I don't get stuck with a 1p AW cab. I also don't like the joystick on the stock 1p cp. It has a wierd feel to it.

The egret III cp is a perfect fit. Color scheme isnt the same, but it doesnt look as bad as I feared despite the mismatch. That said, I probably will still replace it with a stock AW 2p cp if I ever find one. I didnt realize the sega astrocity cps fit really nice except they have a small gap on either side, about an inch, nothing major...so if no egret III 2p control panel you're not totally out of luck.

Matsu also is getting more sega new astrocity's (dunno the condition) but they are definitely one of my favorite cabs if you can find it in nice condition. Its the cab I play the most out of the cabs I own (sega new astrocity, impress, AW and neo 19) but its a tossup. they are all pretty nice. Astrocity picture looks great (same as the impress) and I love the silver original cp. monitor adjustments are easier to do because you can do it by hand, no screwdriver needed. Same price range as the windy. Btw, have you contacted Matsu regarding your windy's blurry monitor problem?

Awesome cab but get that evil of a game off of such a great cab.

This game is sick and I am glad I chose this over NGBC
this game walks all over the 1st one

@droid I got it at Coinop
but now I know matsu has them so I will grab one from him when taxes come in and connect both together for my 2p games and an Astro so I can play NAOMI.
Droid how does your new Astro look? and what is the price?
Does Matsu have anymore AW 1p left?

I'm learning here, so please bear with me. Can you put any Atomiswave game on that beautiful thing of yours? (As long as it doesn't require a gun, wheel, etc)

I got MOTW as a kit and that gets played alot to.

Heh another AW 1p would definitely eliminate the need for a 2p control panel. Especially one that isn't stock. 2 linked AW 1p cabs would be pimp, especially if you have the space. You might want to ask whitey how well it works, I think he has his twins set up that way . I spoke to Matsu yesterday and he still has some AW 1p cabs in stock. You might try emailing him for pix/info if considering it.

My sega new astrocity is the 2nd generation astrocity. Its the one with the small square protruding speakers. BIG talked me into getting one (btw thx godfatha). I had my doubts because at the time I was partial to the capcom impress. I ended up getting 2 (1 for me and 1 for my bro-in-law from ng.com member iconsx who originally got it them from Matsu. If you can find them in good shape, they are a great cab to own. Great picture, Nice looking cab, monitor adjustments are easy. And very affordable. I think run in the $450-500+ range depending on the condition

pity these type of cabs don't come bigger than 29 inch (personal opinion)

have you tried an mvs in it yet? i have the same cab and am haveing trouble getting the mvs games to look good on it.

this was purchased from matsu and the egret III cp actualy looks pretty good, imo. expecialy if i get some orange or green balltops and buttons(as suggested by droid). but how do i tell what type of sticks i have(sanwa? semitsu? other kind?)

ed: both AW and EGRET 3 panels are fitted with sanwa sticks/buttons.
imo if you splash the cash on a cab like this your top priority should be replacing that s**t asap

ed2: if you have trouble getting your 15khz games to look good (usually too bright and sharp picture) there is a small switch on the controlpanel which lowers the strenght of the signal to the monitor, you can flickit on and off while playing it wont hurt your cab, youll see quite a difference (hopefully for the better )

thanks, i do not see the switch though? do i need to open the cp to get to it? i opened it and looked around but can't find it? before i buy new controlls though some of my cash needs to go toward painting it and more games. sadly the cab did not arrive in the greatest of condition.

its quite far down on the control panel, a very small switch.

i am ofcourse meaning the monitor controlpanel thats behind the coinmech, not the panel with joystick and buttons
