Monitor sync issues

I don't have all the info yet, but I wanted to start getting some ideas. I have a monitor that will not sync. The pic won't stabilize no matter what I do with the adjustment knobs. Also, I'm not getting proper colors. Would a cap kit fix these problems or would it be better to just get a new chassis?

Cap kit would always be a help to an old monitor but I'm betting since you have sync AND color issues you probably have cracked solder joints on the pins where you plug the game cable into the monitor.

If the monitor was one that you just installed then I'd say you should take the sync wires and hook 'em up to the other connector.
