Is the screen susposed to flash when Pulstar loads different parts of the game? Most notably is during the attract sequence when it cuts from FMV to ingame play. Also, its noticable when advance stages. I'm 99% possitive the board is original. On the chips, printed is the cart number, what chip it is (M1, P1 etc) and the date code. Also notable, I believe my copy has been recased, its in a clear shell. If it helps, I can post pictures of the boards later this evening.

Is this issue something as simple as dirty connectors on the cart/ motherboard, or is Pulstar susposed to act this way? My current setup is MV-1 Mobo (the very first one), Uni Bios 2.1, custom supergun.

Thanks for any info!

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "flash". Both the JP and US cart came in a black shell. You may have a bootleg copy. Post pics of the boards if you can.

I just listed a MVS Pulstar in the selling section of the forum. :mr_t:

By flash I mean the screen flickers briefly when loading new parts of the game. Like I said before I'm pretty damn sure its not a boot, but I'll post pics tonight when I get home.

I think the flickering is normal....I'm pretty sure I made an old thread about this(way back)

Cool I was just wondering. Before the only way I played this jem of a game was "t3h r0mz" and I don't recall if it had flickering between loading.

This is normal. Pulstar will flash lines of "static" and other garbage between loading levels. Nothing to worry about.

Yes, this happens on my MVS cart also. But that should be the only flash/static you see while playing the game.
