Does anyone know of a guide to repair AES stick controllers?

Both of my primary controllers are on the fritz (a new-style controller with a joystick that occasionally won't go left; an old-style controller that randomly inputs B-button presses). Is there any kind of reference lying around for either controller? Didn't find anything on Google. Thanks.

It would be easier and cheaper to buy another, or better yet, build your own stick.

Did anyone ever find out if the 24mm sanwa buttons fit in the holes of the controller shell?
You should be able to just replace the micro switch on the stick that won't go left.

Thinking about it. It'd be a shame to just throw my old sticks in the trash, though (which is where they'll end up if I can't fix them).

I don't suppose you know of any site with any helpful diagrams that explain what you just suggested? It's been ages since I cracked open an old-style stick, and I've never opened a controller pro (the stick that won't go left).

If you decide to get rid of them, I would be interested in them. I'd like to try modifying them with aftermarket bottons.

Sounds like worn out directional switch.

Replacement directional switches can be found in SEGA light Phasers and in Nintendo Zappers.
