is the 2-slot, 4-slot, and 6-slot interchangeable?

I just want to make sure that the 2,4,6 slot motherboard use the same wiring hardness and that they are compatable. I have a 2-slot cab and wanted to upgrade it to a 6-slot. Please let me know otherwise.

All that would be different as far as I know would be the marquee lights..With a two slot you'll be pushing two MV-ELD bulbs/one panel/........With a 4 slot 4 lights/2 panels....Six slot 6 lights and three panels.
I would disconnect the marquee(don't plug in) light set-up as I don't know what the six slot mobo would do when sending slight signals into a two slot marquee.(maybe it overlaps)
Also some 2 mobos(IMO most) have on board Memory card readers,whereas the 4 and 6 slot don't ..wires and cables and a memory card reader-installation. will be needed if you want to use a memory card.
