Just got mine pre-ordered. Been waiting for this and the wifi is going to be a nice plus. I know there will be a lot of players across the globe, but I didn't know if anyone stateside would be playing this. Anyone else picking this up?

Yes.

Other than that I haven't been able to find much info. I'm not familiar with the bleach Manga/Anime (or whatever form it is in in japan).

I too wonder if this game is comparable to Jump Superstars in anyway.

Yea, it looks amazing. I'm not even into Bleach the series, but it's got some big factors going into it:

- Made by Treasure
- 2-D DS game
- wifi support
- 1-8 player support

So it seems like an awesome game. Treasure can make anything good (ex. Astro Boy), so this looks like a winner.

Here's a link to Play Asia:

In that case I have the Famitsu review of it in front of me. In a word, 31/40.

I'm not interested in Bleach whatsoever, but a 2D fighting game on the DS by Treasure with WiFi support sounds pretty good to me. Damn, my plan to only buy 12 games this year isn't getting off to a good start.

Has anyone read if this offers single card/multi-player play? I import a lot but usually like to import games that I do not need to buy multiple copies of.

I thought this has been out for awhile.

Can you play online even if you're in the US?

No game will ever be as good as jss besides a jss2, to me anyway. i got and played that game to death when i was a huge jump fan. that game was a dream come true for me, all those charecters in a great game. it even had ichigo 100% and death not charecters! thats crazy. i was probably just blinded by my jump fanship but i am not a jump fan anymore and i still love the game.

Well...I just pre-ordered my copy from PlayAsia, So I hope to have it by the end of the week.

I had read that it offered single cart/multi-player play, so I hope that is correct. If not, I will have to order another copy of the game(if it is good).

If someone gets a copy before mine arrives, please post some impressions.

On pre-order from NCXS. They ran out so I should be in the second shipment.

Since I don't see any links with info, allow me.

And here's the Famitsu review translated from "Kiyoka" on gamefaqs.

Main summary of the game: over 25 characters to choose from, using cards to make your characters stronger in battle, up to 4 playes WiFi to battle each other.

Reviewer Francis Hayashi - 8
This game, because of WiFi connection, a rich selection of game modes, a good storyline. The battles are messy, but its not too bad for character balance. It is very good to use Super moves by just a tap of the screen, which is a very good design.

Reviewer Amanossan - 8
The main con about this game is, because the super move can be used by just tapping the screen, it is extremely friendly for new and old players, however, because this is on a portable, I think it doesnt suit the portable system, its too hard to play a fighting game on a portable system. However saying that, there are alot of characters and modes.

Reviewer Fukami Sandan - 7
As the other reviewers, this game really shines on how friendly this game is for new players. However my complaint is, there is too much unbalance in the characters, some you know are strong, are really powerful, where vice versa. Also, the story modes of the other characters seem to be rushed, so its a bit of a disappointment. However, if you are playing this WiFi, this is a great pick.

Reviewer Keiji Kawashima - 8
Alot of the characters in this game show great similarity in the manga, As mentioned before, its good for new players in the fighting genre. HOWEVER, to me, this game feels more like an action game than a fighting game

It sounds like a winner to me. Hopefully the online will be lag free. Can't wait to get it.

Well, I pre-ordered my copy at PlayAsia and they did not even fill all of the pre-orders this week. So...I hope to have mine next week sometime. I have heard the same about LikSang and YesAsia. I know that NCSX got them in and sold out right away.

SO...if anyone gets a copy, please post some impressions.

It's hard to believe there'd be anybody out in the boondocks that would play anything but sports and FPS where you live - or even gamers there period. Don't other people have DS's? You said you bought multiple DSs so other people could play.

How could you get the game the day after release unless you lived in Japan?

I have a family...a wife that has her own DS ect. That is why I own so many DS systems, that is also why I try to buy the games that offer single card/multi-player play.

I know the second question was not towards me but I will answer it anyway. Many times games get released in Japan prior to the release date. PlayAsia started shipping this game out on the 23rd. NCSX was expecting their copies on the 25th but got them on the 26th ect. You really can't go the the release date when it comes to DS imports.

Lastly...I notice you removed your Neo League Bowling score. Did you ever get any better. My four year old could beat that score you had listed. :kekeke:

I'm not playing League Bowling anymore. I think 216 is a pretty good score. You have to get quite a few strikes for that. I swear it's impossible to get 300 in that game as easy as it is to get strikes. I should just put my bowling average on there.

Alright, I have it in my hands now, so here's my quick impressions. (I got it Friday afternoon but haven't had time to fully play it till Saturday morning)

The whole game is in Japanese, so I'm screwed till a translation comes out for it. Although I haven't played Yu-Yu Hakashuo on the Mega Drive I have played Guardian Heroes. That's the REAL Guradian Heroes on the Sega Saturn, not the piece of $#!+ that came out on the GBA a while back.

Pretty much the game plays like a cross between GH with being able to change lanes with the L button and Guilty Gear. It's what Guilty Gear Isuka SHOULD have been. I was only able to play in the Arcade Mode and that's 1 on 1 and not 4 player free all. So I can't tell how a 4 player match will be. I just know the arcade version of Isuka was horrible because you had to press a turn button for your character to face another dircetion.

For the graphics and audio departments. The characters are very colorfull and look just like the Anime. (I only saw the first 6 episodes at Otakon but I'm up to the 10th Manga so I know most of the characters) Every character has full voices. The backgrouds are very well done too. No real anime cutsceens but they have good digitzed versions of them.

So now I need to go on GameFaqs to figure out what the options are. I have no idea what the hell my settings are on the Wi-Fi VS mode. I know you can select 1 on 1 or 4 Free for All but I can't tell if I'm set to World Wide or Regional, the whole thing is in Kangi.

My friend code is 206222 681189 if you'd like to add me, unlike other games it doesn't ask for a name, but incase you need to add it put Moon Jump in, that's me.

Thanks for the impressions. I hope to have mine this week sometime. I have been reading really good things about it and I know that it is selling well just based on how many places are out of stock on it.
