okay here's the deal

excited, so i plugged in everything: jamma harness, power cord, a/v connection

turn it on and what did i get?

i guess as you can see the color is pretty much...wrong...

i don't if its the tv (its brand new btw), the cables (its not the best component cable out there), or maybe the supergun itself??

a question, will it work if i use the vga output from the aw mobo straight into the tv's vga input or a computer monitor for that matter, or does it have to go thru a supergun first?

plz help i wanna play this badly...

one more thing, there's a thread here about people attaching their mobo to pc monitor so i just got myself one today

a brand new samsung syncmaster 930b 19" lcd

i attached the vga cable and "not optimum mode: recommended mode 1280x1024 60khz" is displayed on the screen..

omg plz help me..

It should work straight from the AW mobo to a monitor.

If your TV can do VGA, then hook is straight from the AW mobo to the TV. And make sure dip switch 1 is turned on, since that is the VGA mode switch. Hopefully that helps.

2 questions

1.) did you flip the video switch on the AW to high res mode? I know its stupid but I've made the mistake before myself. (edit: 300wins beat me to it)

2.) do you have a normal VGA monitor to test on? I have the same TV as you but have not tried the AW on it yet.(yeah i'm lazy)

I also noticed that you have the same supergun as a friend of mine and it has some issues with the AW so that may be it.

yes i did, currently i left them all at the lowest level, this way i get the best color...

i tried moving them all the way up and playing around, but it became worse...

you see the pics is not even static, there seem to be some small 'waves'..

Alright tried it on my Bravia and it didn't work :crying:

However I noticed that the VGA cord to my mitsubishi VGA monitor has 1 less pin than the one that came with the TV so it may be as simple needing a different vga cable.

what kind of supergun do you have?

does it have component (red, green, blue) output?

if you don't mind, can you give that a go as well.. see if the result is the same as mine or not...

Do you have a VGA port on the back of the LCD TV? If so hook that up and don't out put the video through the super gun.

Sorry I see now that you did try it that way.

Sorry man I don't have component out on my SG its an older MAS version.

However my friend that owns the same SG as you has complained to me that the s-vid out on mine looks better than the component out on his when playing AW.

I don't know man I'd say contact Dean and tell him about the problems you're having.

I play mine on a Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 71 and it looks like sex.

Try taking the AW over to buddies house and trying it on their setup if possible.

Did you look in the tv manual and see if it takes a anaolog signal? I know my 55 inch tv only takes digital signals. The Awave outputs a analog vga signal.

LCD is sweet with the Awave. I have a 26 LCD in my bedroom. It is an Akai. I picked it up a Sams Club. I use it for a monitor for my laptop most of the time. Pics are of it in high rez.

wow thats so sweet... how much do they cost?

what kind of supergun do you have btw? i'm starting to think that this might be caused by the supergun..

so do you just plug the vga cable from the mobo straight to the tv?

Definitely isn't the supergun. I tested it with Atomiswave, PGM, Neo Geo, CPS2, and XMen PCB in both S-Video and component and it was perfect.

I think your problem, if it is a problem, may be with your Sony TV. It's a Wega, yes?

Yeah after you switch it to 31K, Sony tv's don't like most direct inputs from SG's for some reason.
