Try not to laugh-

I'm trying to make a pcb based off of the schematic for a DC VGA box-

And what I came up with was this (at about 500%)-

DC_VGA.jpg

Anyone saavy enough to check my work? I think I did it correctly. The squares with gaps are where I have to seat a cap/resistor/switch/diode. The circles are spots to solder wires. Either directly from the DC connector or to the VGA d-sub. The red and green circles will be bridged with wires (because I couldn't figure out how to get them to each other without).

Any thoughts? Any help would be appreciated before I try this and fry my chip, my dreamcast or my monitor.

Thanks.

Looks OK.

The red circles can be connected with a trace that runs between the squares with gaps in that region, since your cap/resistor/whatever will go over the top of the trace.

*EDIT*
I don't see how you can connect the green ones without either making the board two sided or somehow moving that bus that runs around the outer edge. If the bus weren't there (i'm guessing +Vcc or ground?), you could run the green between the component gaps as well. */EDIT*

AH! Thanks for the hint on the red spots DogToy. I missed that.

As for the green spots, I may have to make it two sided, I figured I could just bridge it with a piece of wire though.

Thanks for the help!

It does seem kind of a shame to make it two sided just for one trace. I'd probably just wire it.
