I tried to play my Puzzle Bobble bootleg cart yesterday out of curiosity and I noticed when I tried to play a legitimate game after (SSVS) all of my Unibios settings were reset. Is it possible that the bootleg can destroy and or reset my unibios 2.1? I was very uneasy when I noticed the bios was reset (hopefuly my Metal Slug high score is still there, but I doubt it). I know one thing, I'll never try to play a boot in my Mobo again...

That should not happen.

It was very odd. When I powered the MVS on with SSVS loaded (previous was the Puzzle Bobble bootleg) the region was set to European and blood was white. The 5-6 previous times I played my SSVS, it stored Japanese region and red blood. Not to mention the 1 coin vs option was turned on when in was storing the settings. Im' going to go see if my high scores are saved from other games. I'll report back.

Ths MVS memory only holds like 8 or so games, so if one isn't played for a while and others are it pushes out the oldest one.

ahh, you are on about softdip settings and not unibios region settings. Like Reznor007 says, you could have lost the SSVS settings if it was the first in the list of saved games when PB was put in.

Also in regards to the SSVS language setting SoftDIP, the DIP is directly related to the region of the entire system. IE, if the main region is Japan that language dip will show Japanese. If you change the unibios region to either USA or Europe that language setting will show English. Thats even without changing it.
