Anyone have this? I'm not sure if there's one version or more, all I know is that you type something in English/Japanese and it translates it for you with a voice?

I think that's really neat, and actually one of the most interesting applications of the PSP.

I have used it.

It doesn't strictly translate anything: just has a bunch of pre-set situations. You can then select a phrase that could be used in that situation from a source language, and it will 'speak' the outcome in the target language.

You can also 'learn' a language by listening to a bunch of preset phrases first, and then being asked what a certain phrase means. It plays back the phrase in the target language and you have to give the meaning in the source language.

In short, it pretty much sucks. I don't really see what the point of it is. I guess you could take it on holiday with you, but the JPN release only has English, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese on it.

That lowers my excitement for it, but it's still a cool idea about using a handheld to surpass language barriers.
Thanks for telling me more of what I hadn't known about it.
