Has anyone tried using a Sync Splitter (LM1881) circuit on the Composite sync line to get an ATW board to display on a incompatable Monitor?

I just noticed that the Board only outputs Composite sync and not seperate signals.

yeah, I did it in a project to get the AW on my TV. I used the sync splitter and a vga amp. The amp didn't work to get it on my TV, but the sync splitter made a flipping screen on a half working other monitor stand still. Never did get my picky ass tv to take in the AW.

here's my post from way back:

I did have one cart monitor that had a picture, but flipping verticaly!

so, I noticed that the amp I had didn't work right for a stronger signal, but.....the AW pinout only puts out a comp sync from pin 13....

which goes to horizontal sync on a vga plug.....

to get to the point.....this sync split WORKED!!!!!!!!

when I split it and had the vert running through pin 14, the picture stayed still!!!! a little off to the side on a monitor that doesn't have a screen adjust on it :spock: only brightness and color... :spock: yeah, it's old!

but, I don't freakin care!! I finally got the signal to come through!!!

So, it wasn't a totally non working monitor, but rather a half working one. Not sure about a monitor that doesn't show anything at all. Worth a shot though :)
