FINAL FANTASY 11 360 HELP

Am currently playing beta version on my xbox 360 however its such a pain chatting to people on there without a keyboard. Does anyone know if a USB keyboard would work with my 360 and this game? Thanks in advance guys.

Really? When I am at my parents house and use my bro's pc to play as my character(when I played on ps2, now playing on 360), I really missed the controller. IMHO the controller is much better than the mouse because you have many more buttons at your finger tips and analog control. Plus, when you are fighting an enemy, you can use the right stick to rotate 360 around you to see if any other enemies are near by, so you dont get agro'd.

So can you not use the controller for general gameplat at the same time as using a keyboard just for typing?

why wouldn't you just plug in your keyboard to find out yourself?

Actually, that's the optimal way to play for all three systems. Using the controller to play the game, and the keyboard to type, use or set macros, and such. FFXI, in particular, was made with a controller/keyboard setup in mind and is actually recommended that PC users get a controller for their USB or gameport. It's not particularly mouse-friendly, ingame.

The Xbox 360 uses USB keyboards natively. (You can use it pretty much for any text entry, anywhere, and makes adding custom soundtrack info a snap.) Just about any 360 game with text entry works as well. FFXI also inherits use of the USB keyboard.

I just picked up the beta disk today so i'll probably pick up a keyboard tomorrow or something but why doesn't voice work? or does it? I'll guess i'll find out later today.
