I have been thinking of getting a PGM, but I dont know to much about it. I know about system16.com and I have searched this forum and looked through some of the posts, but I am looking for general info on the system itself. Is there an English site dedicated to the PGM or a system faq someone can direct me to?

get martial masters, absolute must have pgm game
kov (knights of valor) series is ok if you like old-school sidescrolling beat-em-ups.
never got a hold of gladiator, but always wanted it.

great system, beautiful graphics, just a very limited library of games.

if youre thinking of getting dodonpachi 2 (which you ought to have if you own a PGM) you should know theres no screenflip on it, so make sureit TATEs the right waybefore you splash out...

other than that its a really good andsimple system, i quite like it altho the games have limited interest for me.. not that into fighters.

IMO, demon front and martial masters are two bad ass games and loads of fun. I have owned the gladiator and killing blade, both which are fun games, imo. But I sold those and kept the first two listed.

Some of the questions I have are:

What determines the language of the game; mobo or cart? Basically, do I need an english mobo for my carts to play in english?

Do games have multliple language settings, like the MVS?

I would be playing the PGM on a supergun, with my neo or modded Saturn pads, so will this cause any problems?

I notice that a lot of the games are shooters, so since I will be using a supergun on my tv, will I be able to play them or do I need a vertical monitor?

How do you save games on the system or can you?

Is there blood in the games or at least an option to turn it on?

These are all the questions I can think of right now, so hopefully someone can answer them for me.

The PGM works in a supergun, and modded controllers that don't retain the compatibility with the original console should work with it. However be careful with the sound, many people including me has had trouble making the sound work in a supergun.

The vertical shooter games MUST be played in a rotated TV, unless you want to play them sideways rotating your controller. In adition, remember that most of those shooters don't exist in cart format, only in single mobo. Bee Storm is a cart.

dodonpachi 2 bee storm is the ONLY shooter on the PGM format.

if youre looking at system16.coms list all the other Cave games are just based on the PGM hardware, not actually part of its library of games.

the language in the games is determined by the region of the cart, afaik the mobos themselves are not region coded at all, i have 2 (one japanese and one chinese) and they both behaveexactly the same to the gamesi have, test menues etc are in english on both.
