Awesome. The DS's design is what kept me from buying one, I hate the original design. I might go ahead and buy Castlevania.

Oh jebus, I knew about this a while ago. Just didnt know who was getting one, but I couldnt see the psp getting one. Im kinda excited and will probably buy one. That will be 4 ds's laying around the house.

Nintendo needs to put a mini analog stick and a mini C-stick so that Mario 64 DS will be alot easier to control and for other 3-D games, plus bigger screens too. 
This one looks awesome! and us handheld gamers need a handheld like that to hold in our hands alot better.

I'm happy that the DS is getting an overhaul. A lighter version would definitely make it easier to hold when using the stylus.
I hope that they add the ability to remap the button configuration for GBA games. It would be a big help for games like KOF Neoblood that force you to use the L and R buttons for strong attacks.

Whatever happens on the 16th in terms of announcement expect the system to be released almost immediately. They already had the sales surge from XMas and announcing but not releasing a redesign immediately would destroy sales of the current model.
I don't mind getting a new one. That way I can pawn off the older one on my wife or kid for multiplayer action. Hard to justify otherwise.

Talk about soon. I still want to see some info on Diamond and Pearl as they are the only games I even want for the DS. It looks like they won't make it here until another year assuming the game even hits Japan this year.

Well...I own a store. So...although I don't see a lot of used DS systems come in, I have picked up some extra systems for multi-player play.
I also am interested in having some of the different colors and at some point will pick up the Mario Kart version.

If they use the same screens as in the micro/sp2 I will buy one without hesitation. I'm pretty excited for the redesign...when I bought my micro all my GBA games that I'd gotten bored of were suddenly interesting again because they looked so damn good.
And this will only boost DS sales, I'm sure. We'll see a big spike, even if it's only temporary.
And, I can only imagine how sweet Metroid Prime Pinball and Hunters will look on better screens.

OMG the new design ideas look so much better. Nintendo better use the tried n true conductive-carbon pads like Sony does instead of those terrible tact switches. Plus the unit better be bigger.

I'd definitely pick one up if the redesign is right. The DS is the only portable besides the NGPC that has anything I want to play on it ... the thing's just too big for me to pack around, though.
