Heh... I've tried to draw up plans similar to these ones.. even the mame table.

At least I know what NOT to do.

The goggles do nothing.

These mutant bastard mame cabs need to be put to death and their creators locked away in jail.

These cabs are criminal.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA
Now why cant people be civilised and just buy an already made cabinet and set it up with a J-PAC and a decent rom box?

Some of the buttons layouts...no all of the button layouts on those cabs are insane and it looks like the guys who desighned them must have been on crack while atempting to create one.

I wish I had as much money to spend as some of the people from those pages must have had to make those things.

Uh, If i were going to make a mame cab i would make my own instead of buying some pre-made doo doo.

Basically idiots with zero talent shouldnt be allowed near any tools of any sort.

If their cabs are this hideous, think about their children (if they have any :kekeke: )

I'm not sure if you realize it,but the J-Pac is a Jamma interface for PC's to plug right into the harness. You take any jamma cab in the world and it's nearly plug and play instead of going through the hassle of building your own.

o man...i am so glad i did not try to make a mame cabinent i was thinking about it but it would probably turn out like those terrable ones. although my grandpa could probably constuct an amazing one if i helped him he just injured himself and lost some controll over his hand. anyway i just can't believe people would put time, money, and effert into makeing those moceries to justice. i mean why do people do that with such crappy control panel layout and small monitors? i don't get it those people must know their cabs suck.

Yeah i'm aware of how it works. :chimp:

All i'm saying is that i would never allow such a giant piece of shit (like all the mame cabs on the site) to be in my house.

Wow some ugly shit there.

Im thinking of an automatic belt or gear driven horizontal/vertical crt orientation drive on a "lazy susan" for a mame cocktail, may not be as crazy as it sounds.

I have one just like this but it came in pieces that you put together. It looks OK but overall i was unhappy they didnt cut all the holes right and so some of my cab came out kind of shitty.

I hear they had a problem with thier cutting machines on that batch and it is fixed now. Dosent help me now but if your interested its www.mameroom.com

I think i payed 400 for all of it.

Here is another one to add to the list
KIcab1.jpg

Which is actually mine... this picture was taken a couple years ago. Of course it's not finished yet either. It's been in storage for 2 years. Finally moved into a place that I can pull it out and finish it. Maybe I'll post new pictures when it's done.

I'm assuming he means I-pac. Which is a keyboard encoder.

I-Pac does just Keyboard encoding, J-Pac does the video>monitor interface, also.

Mine could go on there as the shittiest cab ever to be efficient with controls. Think asteroids... but with joysticks and more buttons installed in it, centered between the original buttons and the bottom of it. Then add a trackball in the upper-left corner, and a spinner in the upper-right (they use the original asteroids buttons). I can play any digitally or optically controlled game I want to (except street fighter, but who cares about that), with a total of 11 buttons, 2 joysticks, and 3 optical sensors.
