Is it really s-Video quality though? I mean since it is from composite it defeats the purpose of s-video right? I am just asking since im not exactly sure, and of course +1

You won't get S-video quality out of that; that converter is mainly for convenience.

Ive used one,on the pc-engine,and it actually washed its picture quality out a tad bit.I wasnt impressed,and at that time I paid 20 bucks for it at radioshack.

Figuring that composite is Y/C combined, this passive little device will not be able to separate the two correctly once they are combined in the gaming system. Like stated before, it’s simply for convenience. As a matter of fact, I agree with the other statement, I imagine it will wash the color and picture quality a bit.

I wouldn't recomend if you think it's going to give you better video quality, becasue it won't. You can find them a electronic stores for $1 to $2. Mine was $.99.

The entire company is ridiculous. It's like they expect you to have 30 RF generators aimed straight at your TV at all times, so you NEED 7 layers of shielding and insulation on every cable. For God's sake, people. I'm surprised they don't make tin foil hats.
