what does everyone think are the best and worst home ports of neo geo games during the genesis snes days, this doesn't say include the 3do samurai shodown
worst I'd have to say is either the snes port of Fatal Fury , I thought the genesis version had cruddy ai and bad collision detection
or the genesis world heroes I just don't think it could be more off
best I'd have to say was probably either of the snes port of world heroes 2,
though I've never and probably never will play the turbo duo ports

Fatal Fury (1) for SNES with it's load times isn't far from worst of the worst.

AOF on SNES isn't bad. I don't understand why all SNES fight games were letterboxed. Especially the Neo Ports, since the originals shure aren't cut to be letterboxed. Like everyone was trying to be another Street Fighter 2.

Common'. WH (1) SNES isn't all that bad.

On the other hand, Samurai Shodown for SNES is unforgiveable.

yeah art of fighting for snes is good, the reason the letter boxed is I believe the snes's incredibly slow processor, probable uses that blank to cut it some slack

Yeah, I thought WH2 and FF2 on SNES kicked some ass.

And most butchered port of all time? That joke KOTM SNES port... they took away the slime monster and the gorilla... and they got rid of the tag team feature... WTF?!?! And we all know SNES has more power than that. Lazy ass programmers Takara were with that game, but they delivered with WH2 and FF2

I think the World Heroes were pretty good on SNES... but Samurai Spirit and AOF were just too much for this console !!!

I had fatal fury for the snes but never got to play it because the cart got busted when someone stepped on it(my brother played snese and used to leave the carts alll on the floor). but is there even a decent arcade controller for the snes to play this and sam sho, etc?

I know there are a goodly number of arcade sticks for the snes, though I don't know how good they are but I'd imagine the one capcom produced is of fairly good quality

Samurai Shodown(SNES) is the worst hands down. Thank God that wasnt my first time playing the game. Its was enough to make you quit shodown all together.

I have a "Fire Stick" for SNES that I received by winning EGM's monthly art contest. It is exactly an SNES pad board housed in a laminated particle board box and the contacts are soldered to arcade controller components. I would not be much of a challenge to make.

I did a quick google and found this ebay auction with pictures of one http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8249841881&category=3592

The picture shown in EGM were always white, but the one I received and the one my friend received were both black.

WH1 on SNES for me, hands down. AI behavior EXACTLY the same. Something almost unthinkable that time.
