Pending Deal Drama...

Everyone, I need your advice on this subject.

Currently, I am in a deal for my Japanese Real Bout 2 home cart. The deal was made to exchange this game for two MVS titles and $75. The person I'm dealing with has sent the MVS games, but has not sent the money. The buyer said that he would do this via PayPal, yet it's been nearly a month and no sign of the transfer. Even worse, the person has not responded to my PMs or through personal e-mail.

This isn't a case where someone is trying to steal or scam merchandise... partial payment has been received. However, I feel I shouldn't send out my game until FULL PAYMENT has been reached. At the very worst, I feel as if he won't continue with the deal that I should return his MVS games. However, I don't have his return address in any of my PMs. And, of course, the package material with his address was tossed in the trash nearly a month ago when I first received the MVS games.

What would you guys do in this case? :confused:

Wait till he replies. Simple as that. He may have been afraid that you will scam him out of the cart if he sends them all, or maybe simply he disappeared off the face of the earth if he no longer replies. If he moved, then sending the carts back is just going to create more problems than it solves. So, just wait for his reply. Until then, look at the stars.

Yep, definitely wait it out.

If he doesn't want to reply to you, I say keep the cart as payment for your time being wasted. Of course, if he does finally get in touch, then you can work something out.

I get what you saying...
The original plan was for this individual to mail me the games and pay via PayPal. Then, I would mail out my RB2 cart. The last time I tried to reach him via PM was back on April 16th. I know that he has read the message, but he hasn't responded. An actual e-mail was sent about a week or so later, which also went without a response.

This is just weird... for in a way, I feel as if I'm screwing him now. But without full payment, no return address (since I threw away the package materials over a month ago) and no responses from e-mail or PM, I have no choice but to wait and see if I hear from him.

The other person didn't complete his/her end of the deal.

PS: the buyer could be dead. If he doesn't write back, just sit on the deal. Seems pretty clear cut.

FTL's post was sincere. I'm just playing with you. But my statement stands. If he doesn't write back, then there's not much you can do to help the deal go through. You have the crat, and his carts. It's up to him to communicate if he wants to get that RB2.

Maybe sincere, yet inappropriate. There was no need to bring someting in "private" in the public like that. Mud slinging is certainly not the way a moderator should operate, you think?

Maybe sincere, yet inappropriate. There was no need to bring someting in "private" in the public like that. Mud slinging is certainly not the way a moderator should operate, you think?

Just be happy you got carts and a trader that dropped off the face of the earth before you could complete the deal.

If he hasn't contact you and refuse to (knowing that he got your emails/pm's, etc), it is time to take it to the next level. I have never been involved in a scam so I can't tell you what to do (other members here are much more knowledgeable), but the fact is, he did NOT fulfill his end of the bargain. $75 is alot of money, and if you had known that you have to wait this long (assuming you do get the money), you might be abit more hesitant about doing the deal.

This thread had absolutely nothing to do with our previous debate in the War Room. I was merely asking for advice from fellow list members about a deal that is currently in limbo... it was FTL who thought it was necessary to "dig through the trash" and try to rekindle memories of an already forgotten flame war. If this isn't the sign of an extremely lonely, bitter person who needs therapy then I don't know what it is. Again, this is behavior that "forum moderators" should not be engaged in. FTL should be setting an example of class, not trash recycler. If he didn't want to help, he should have done the adult thing and ignored the thread. You don't see me looking for FTL threads and posting useless information in them, do you?

So yes, FTL's post is inappropriate. I actually find it funny how regular gamers can actually think like a moderater better than two of the mods themselves. :rolleyes:

And I'm glad that you thought that it was funny that I practiced my right to voice my concern about you and FTL to the rest of the mods. As if I didn't know that you would hear about it. DUH!!!

That's the thing...
I can totally understand if people wind up going through financial difficulties and can't pay on time. It happens to everyone, and if this individual is experiencing some problems all he has to do is tell me. If he wants to cancel the deal, he should tell me so that I can send back his games. That's all I'm trying to figure out for now.

I've made many of FAQs, and have made many posts on the mailing list and these forums about gameplay. You just choose to focus on the negative things, for you are a negative person. And to try and add any value to your insignificant life, you have to seek the faults in others and try to exploit them.

And to call me childish when you jumped into a thread with your bitter attitude, whining like a bitch about how I talked to the other mods regarding your actions, with the intention to rekindle OLD GRUDGES is just laughable. If anyone read that LONG flame war (and who didn't), you could see where I stand. I choose NOT to work things out with you, for quite frankly I find that my life is actually more content without the nickname "FTL" in it. I wasn't talking trash... just voicing a concern to the people "in charge" about my unsatisfaction regarding two individuals who are supposed to "help" the community, not hurt it. I tried to be as dignified and proper as I possibly can. The whole intention was for it to get back to you, and to also let the other people "in charge" know that you were conducting yourself like an ass.

Obviously it meant something to you for you're bringing it up now in a thread that has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with it. There would have been no e-mail if you and WaSorry would have never been so adament to try and make me look bad.
