So whats the cab used to run Atomiswave in japan? How much do they go for?

I believe that it is a version of the taito egret 3 cab, but customized. not sure how much they are in USD< but there is a whole bunh of them in Australia for $1400AUD

I bought my Sega New Astro City cabinet for $1100 AUD from Zax Amusements in Melbourne and you're telling me that somewhere in australia sell's Taito Egret 3 cabinets for $1400!?

I think I'm going to have a heart attack.

SDs are practically the same as the Egret3s,but they lack the rotating mechanism.

Can anybody actually confirm that the Egret3 still has the rotating mechanism of its predecessors?

i'm confused?? so the egret can rotate but the atomiswave can't? if that is the case that sucks!

i'm very sorry to double post but i might be buying one of these soon so this it is urgent that i find this out, is 1500 USD a bad price fro the one player version of this cab? it is +250 USD for the 2 player version.

The single player versions go for about $850 in Japan and $1200 here in the US. That price seems a little high, but these are beautiful cabs. I would have to go for a 2p version myself.

If you paint your cab be sure to ask around for painting techniques and the right paint. I painted my egret 1 that i used to have with black metal paint and it came out like shit

Out of the 5 cabs I own, 2 are candies. I have a Capcom Impress and a Sega New Astro City. By far I would say the Egret 3 is my favorite cab, sporting a tri-resolution easily rotatable flatscreen monitor. The Atomiswave is a B-E-A-utiful cab and should be considered, but it's a bummer you can't easily rotate the monitor and that the majority of them have a 1p CP.


PS: It should be illegal to repaint such a nice cab.

^^yeah i am not going to repaint it i was just asking out of curiousity. anyway even with the hard to rotate drawback do you think it is worth +1200 USD from what i could buy a windy or new astro city for? i know you said the price seemed a little high but is it outrages and should not even be considered? because right now i am pretty desperate for a cab.
