in need of supergun info

I have acquired an atomiswave kit with the sole purpose of obtaining kofxi and HNK. my only prob is this, where do i nab a good supergun? I am new to the whole PCB thing and the only one i know of is the MAS. is it garbage? Any links to purchase guns or info is appreciated. thanks!!!

MAS is okay for a starter supergun or for someone who is more of a casual arcade gamer. Be sure to buy a used one so you know how well it works... they vary... greatly.

Lots of people make their own. I imagine D-Lite (a moderator here) is still in that business. I have one of his Component Guns (atomiswave ready). Aces.

Whereabouts in MD are you?

Most of the superguns out there, MAS included, will not be wired so that all 5 jamma buttons are hooked up. Given that they are all pretty much the same quality, I would say just find the cheapest one and go for it. I might be selling my Supergun in the near future since I currently only use it for my vertical shooters. I have customized it with the following. 1) Wired for Atomiswave 5-buttons 2) Neo Geo MVS (Stereo/Mono Switch) 3)CPS2/3 kick harness 4) Internal speaker and CPS2/3 voume control + and - 5)Internal speaker on/off 6)Test and service buttons. It had already included a CPS1 kick harness and s-video and composite rca jacks. The joysticks have also been given 2 extra buttons so that they are now 8-button layout using Happ Competition buttons. I believe my supergun was orginally a MAS before I modified it. I'm not sure how much it cost since mine was a gift. Look to spend ~$300 for a supergun and controllers. Good luck on your search.

thanks for the info. I'm in cumberland MD. I'm hoping to get HNK and set up some sort of tourney at a local games store here. Sure it's a warhammer 40k store but the owner seems cool and prob wouldnt mind if there was some money in it for him. I'll be on the lookout for supergun sales then. I'll also have to do somereading on wiring issues too i suppose. thanks again.
