I'm going to be ordering a whole bunch of MVS carts and I want to get an SF aswell, the thing is I can't make up my mind on wether to go for Street Fighter 3 2nd impact or Street Fighter Zero 3?

They are within close numbers when it comes to the cost, so that doesn't matter but I want to know what one of the two games I've mentioned would be the one to get?

My choice would be Zero 3. So many great characters to learn it will keep you busy for a long time. It is by far my favorite SF and I fell it is well balanced and has a smooth learning curve. You can jump right in but it will tak you a long time to master.

I say Zero 3 as well...

But only because it's against 2nd Impact... If it would be 3rd Strike, different story... ;)

Soldering Skills?

If you can change the battery in the CPS3 yourself then buy 2nd Impact. If not then buy Zero 3.

3rd Strike costs an arm and a leg, let alone changing the battery to make sure you don't loose another.
Crazy.

I reckon I will go for SFZ3, more characters and it wont die forever if the battery dies.

Both are great games and you would do well to own any one of them. I happen to own SF3:NG and SFA3 and I tend to play SF3:NG alot more. CPS2/3 battery swap out should not be a concern since there are people here that will provide this service for you; myself included. (Just email me whenever you need this done.) Taken this into account, I would just get the game that you enjoy the most or want to get better at and forget what everyone here says for you to get. Good luck on your purchase decision.

Zero 3 hands down....it's so much better than 2nd impact. Now if it was 3rd strike...still get Zero 3 because it rocks.

Zero 3 is a good game. If you still have the itch to pick up 2nd Impact... get the dreamcast version since it won't doe on you after a few years.

Zero 3 blows. Alpha 2? Yes.... 3? No. Rainbow Mika? Cody in jail? WTF. Not to mention the crap bgs and music.

But hey, it's all about your skill. Go for broke?

Grab a cheap ssf new challengers and Moboard first i reckon,,and then practice a battery swap on that yourself!.once that's done succesfully you should then buy a zero 3 or in my opinion second impact is the better game.

I'd also vote for SFZ 3, if only for the suckass suicide batteries that CPS-3 games are cursed with ...
