A buddy of mine told me about this game a few years ago, and while on vacation I ran into a cab (with no joystick) of Savage Quest. It's by Angel Studios. Has anyone played it before? Thoughts? Tell me a little more about it?

Yar, that's it. I was trying to dig up a little info on it last night... not much. Apparently it was slated for a PC release - but I couldn't dig anything up that could confirm it.

PS - Those look like some pretty clean pics... think it's emulated?

Not a chance in hell, they've yet to tackle the hyper properly. Sega model 2 emulation is still sketchy. Might be a long while. It is possible though that the game architecture is a custom computer, instead of something like a jamma board. Conversion class is unique, may in fact be a PC game.

It is. It was built on a pentium III board if I remember right... I figured something like that would be easier to manage than your run of the mill JAMMA board. Then again, I imagine the MAMEsters have their priorities.
