I don't think it really matters. The biggest change will be between component and s-video for the system, and if the television upscales it's interlaced signals. I, personally, think that neo looks like open ass when it's picture is line doubled, mainly because line doubling makes everything look blocky. The neo just NEEDS scan lines IMHO. :D

I think projector is the must for playing neo geo games !!!
Well i can see where your at with the big screen & all, but personally i prefer RGB on the old CRT...std screen.
Btw....the image quality is just not that defined on a projector. & also wide-screen makes characters look too chubby!...

TUBE is the best

There's a lot of writing about this:

tube is best for extended gameplay. Plus, if you have a tube that can handle 420p./780/1080i then your talking the best. I have a 34" Trinitron XBR widescreen. THE BOMB! :buttrock:

Sorry dude

Just realized you asked about the NEO, which can't do interlaced.

Doesn't matter, I still say tube all the way!

Another issue to consider - older rear-projection TV's (don't know if it's still true on newer stuff) always came with paperwork that warned against video game play (specifically, long pauses) on them, due to phosphor burn-in.

I've never really been a huge fan of the look or picture quality of the rear-projection TV, so I'd put my vote with the "real" or tube TV's.
