Does anybody off hand know which cabs have this feature? Currently I have a New Astro City for vertical shooters, and a Capcom Impress for my horizontal games. I do really like both my cabs, but I plan on getting an Atomiswave and Naomi mobo in the near future and it would be awesome to have the option of playing in high resolution.

Does high-resolution only work with VGA out, and can you play games in high resolution through jamma? ...Or does the cab already detect resolution by which form of connection you're using? Thanks in advance.

I would love to own two Taito Egret 3 cabs, how much do those run these days?

Here are a few I can name off the top of my head:

Namco Cyberlead,Konami Windy II,Sammy AW SD,Sega Naomi Universal,Sega Net-City,Sega Blast-City,and Taito Egret III.

AFAIK,the hi-res. option is only available through VGA.

Namco Cyberlead is 15-24k & JVS, get a Egret 3 is you want a 15-24-31k unit.

I *think* my Neo Super 29 Candy has a dual-res in it, but I think it goes from low to medium, which is nice for the Hyper 64. But I may just be talking out my ass.... I'm pretty sure I remember reading that somewhere though about the "Super" cabs.

Yes, they support both low and medium res (but no high res!). The Hyper 64 is actually low res only, but it runs in some kind of interlaced mode so it looks sharper. :)

Btw, those monitors supporting high res are oftentimes tri-res, not dual-res, i.e. they support low, medium & high res! Also, on many of the dual-res monitors one has to manually switch between resolutions, while the tri-res ones usually auto-switch.
