Stakes Winner 2: To buy or not to buy?

What's everyone's take on this game? I have never played this game. I was thinking about getting the MVS kit.

It's more of a novelty than anything else. It's really not that fun of a game. There's actually not even that much to do when you're playing. For a collector looking for another Neo title it might be worth it, but reviewing it purely from a gamer's perspective I'd pass it up. There's tons of other stuff I'd rather be playing.

I'm asking because ArcadeShock has full kits for $40...not a bad deal IMO. I was thinking that this could be a good alternative to fighters for my MVS cab. Most of my friends are not hardcore gamers...KOF doesn't hold their attention very long. I try to keep two shooters and two fighting games loaded in my cab for variety.

I think I picked it up for $30 for a complete kit a long time ago. I got rid of it though. This won't impress non-gamers, believe me. There's not much game to it. It's pretty boring. Try Puzzle Bobble. Everybody seems to love that for some reason.

I've never played it, but it's so inexpensive in the Neo world, it's hard to imagine being disappointed.

That said, I got my KoF 2003 kit for less than that, so maybe it's not the best deal out there after all.

I just picked up a kit the other day, since it was cheap as hell. I doubt I'll play it much, but it was hard to pass up such a cheap kit.

I seem to be one of the few who actually enjoys this game. I got it for $35 or so and I have played the game quite a bit. It also makes a good multiplayer game, even for those who may not be experienced with videogames. For the price I would say it is well worth it.

It's okay with a second player, but boring as hell other than that. And it gets boring even with a second player, so don't go in expecting too much.

It would have been a better game if you could shoot the other horses or something.
