but on the otherhand, its sometimes good that operators are like that.... I remember buying a TMNT 4 player cabinet with vendetta PCB and an original Ordyne PCB all for 60 quid from a guy with a travelling arcade :buttrock:

Did he pee on then melt that mini marquee?

Yeah... It looks like it... That MM is like a white-ish gray color originally.

Why don't (didn't) arcade operators just keep all the boxes from their kits?! That could solve the whole problem... It's like they prefer to have a box with 50 different names and 49 of them crossed out. :oh_no:

Just got a reply from an arcade seller who has sold me a bootleg copy of Turf Masters...

Hi

Quality is same ive used all these on site working fine

Sorry I didn’t know I have racks of games

Just pull out off site or shelf wen sold

My email to him said that I was unhappy that the game was a bootleg....

Then again it was only £20.... I should have guessed.... :(

But some good news was that he shipped it in a KOF98 MVS box.... it was really tatty, and covered in sticky tape, which took the top layer of the cardboard off when i removed it, but all in all a nice freebie!!!

The mini marquee to me just looks to be a printed out mini(blow up the picture)It's a piece of Paper that has browned from the light in the marquee or Sunlight(PEE :kekeke: ).It's garbage, not even the original.

Looking at my original SS II mini It has no white in it..."like that one does"..

Scan of my original mini.

Nah, it looks real. You can see that it's glossy/shiny, and you can see the "marble" coloring around the marquee. Notice how the white center was affected the worst. My guess is that it's just basically been marinated in cigarette smoke for years, as well as having it baked in by the light. Ever seen say, a lamp shade or cleaned a window off in a house full of smokers? It definately builds up over years, especially if it's in an arcade or bar or something.

Ekk, looks like the marquee was soaked in orange soda or something. As for the Strikers box, it's just one less thing that makes the price for it go up.

Ugh.

Well, at least we can be thankful that there isn't a stream of urine spilling onto the kit in the acutal photo... :oh_no:

When I first got it and opened it I caught a nasty whiff of beer and nacho cheese, along with some really bad BO. But no pee. I think it's normal though, considering that the op I got it from was in one of those "quiet little towns" and probably had it in a bar much like... well (bad example) the one in South Park.

Seriously, is the first time you guys have been on ebay or something? Those things are tools, not collectibles, a more organised operator would have chucked the paper rubbish, not just let it get tatty.

Every bare cart there is has seen worse treatment.
