Anyone else have the labels on their MVS carts wrinkle while in use? All I can think of is lack of ventilation. The lame thing is I only let the thing run for a max of 12 hours at a time. It has messed up a few brand new carts already.

I have never heard of such a problem. Can you give more information about what sort of setup you have...type of cab...super gun....CMVS. If you are useing a supergun or CMVS there should be no issues with heat. I have run my cab for 6-7 hours at a time with no problems concerning the cart labels. MVS motherboards run very cool and use little power.

I've had some used ones I bought in the past have labels that are a little wrinkly but I've never had any of my new ones do anything like that.

Your carts shouldn't be getting "hot" to begin with. :spock:
I assume you're running a cab. My 2 slot board has never given off heat that I could feel. The only heat source in your cab should be your power supply, and possibly the back end of the monitor. I haven't heard of MVS mobos getting hot enough to the point they'd shrivel paper.

If these are new kits, maybe once you've removed them from their bubble wrap you've exposed them to some humidity. And I see your location is Florida, that might be the reason. ;) That's happened to a few of my carts, bubbles start to form around the edge of the label, can't say I care much.

Never heard of that happening before. My board and carts stay cool and my cab runs for long stretches at a time as well as short bursts of a few hours.

I also store my carts not in use in my cab and have had no problems with them either.

No fan, and its a 4 slot MVS cab...the tall one with the stereo speakers at the top.

I haven't had this happen before with any of my carts. These are new carts so thats really the only reason I'm bothered by it.

I think I may have to let it run and see where the main heat source is. I don't know for sure, but it seems to me it was hot inside the cab the other day.

On another note..I do have a CPS2 that I sometimes run in that same cab. Its mounted underneath the MVS board...on the bottom side of the wood, upside down. The fan on that faces the coin door so I can get at the connector.

Think thats it? I have tried to leave the wood door off the back of it...but I haven't really let it run since I found the wrinkles either.

I'm not thinking humidity is a problem as I keep my house at 73 degrees, and the air is actually very dry compared to outside.

I bet its that CPS2, the more I think about it...the more sense it makes..as it's the only thing I have really changed in the last 5 months. Do they run hot enough?

I left my mvs carts in a room that I had closed from the heat in the rest of my place. I've seen some of the labels lose some of their stickiness from the cold too. Once I put them in the other room and pressed the labels they were fine.
