They are both great cabs. I happen to own both but the Neo 29 cosmetically is more appealing to me. It also is able to accomodate boards easier since the boards are mounted horzontally and has half of the bottom cab space for room. The New Astro City mounts boards vertically. It also only gives a quarter of the space since the medal board rail is on the same side as the power supply which cuts down on the max board height that you can use. Generally, this is not a problem since you will probably be using CPS2 boards but changing carts on a MVS board may have clearance issues so that removing MVS carts will require that you move the wood mounting board from the medal rail in order to change MVS carts. Getting access to the monitor is also easier on the Neo 29 since the front bezel is on a hinge so all you have to due is pull the control panel up and then left the bezel. The New Astro City requires a few more steps since the bezel is not on a hinge but is integrated into the top of the case/body. In order to get access to its monitor you will also pull up the control panel, unscrew the screw connecting the bezel/case to the control panel in the front, remove the back marquee plate by unscrewing those screws and finally lifting up the monitor bezel/case off of the unit to get access to the monitor. By no means is this difficult but it just more time consuming. The monitor on Neo 29 tend to be only low res or 15Khz while the New Astro City has low and medium rez or 15Khz/24Khz monitor. Hope this information is useful to you.
